With visual representation that shows the impact. Faster turn-around time with a 24×7 machinery put in place between North America and Vietnam. Given the proximity to Taiwan, onsite presence for quicker resolution of issues related to prototypes working with US team supporting some of the beta customers during the early field trial period. Client was able to get the solution quicker to the market in a very cost controlled environment.
Project Overview
A start-up in consumer grade electronics world, combines revolutionary optics technology with an advanced image processing engine to make a camera that changes photography.
The Challenge
The start-up for looking for an engineering partner with proximity to Taiwan, who would help build software elements from BSP , Firmware all the way to application layer working closely with the North American counterpart. The prototype would be brought up in Taiwan region and hence the need for the local language advantage in addition to the required skill-sets to build the revolutionary image processing solution. With limited funding, cost was also a challenge.
Our Approach
We brought in our Terralogic Vietnam team to address language, proximity to Taiwan in addition to the skill sets that were built over a few years working with the automotive companies which were leveraging similar techniques.
The Solution
Develop BootROM, RTOS, Device Drivers, Camera Control Protocol, ASIC communication protocol via SPI, I2C, GPIO and MIP
- Solutioned build out of camera image processing applications for win, Android and Mac OS.
- Whole 9 yards of quality engineering from building frameworks, manual and automated testing harness to CI-CD deployment using open source tools.
- Develop factory test to integrate to factory testing framework for mass production.
